Tor Hanson presents

Local historian, Tor Hanson, will be talking about his latest book, Camp Abbot.
Where Sunriver now stands, 90,000 soldiers were once trained during World War II. Camp Abbot was the westernmost engineer replacement center of the US Army Corps of Engineers from 1943 through 1944. In his book, Hanson explores the fascinating history of this time period and the area that once served as a rigorous training camp to help young soldiers learn how to swiftly build and demolish bridges.
